About Us
Pauline passionately believes embroidery creates happiness. Not only does it bring joy to the embroiderer; the pleasurability extends it to all in contact with the end product. She started embroidering as a hobby and from that as a natural, digitizing. Consequential to increasing pressure from third parties for her "assistance", she fully commercialised her embroidery activities in the year 1996 under the name of stitches4u. This venture which started as a hobby grew to the extent where she soon enough had to acquire additional embroidery machines, additional help and extensive digitizing software. During 2003 Pauline decided she needed more time for her own embroidery ideas. The embroidery business then went to daughter-in-law Nikkie, who moved the embroidery equipment to her own premises as Speedstitch. This still did not free Pauline sufficiently to her wishes and during 2008 she moved her digitizing clients to Speedstitch as well, leaving her free to devote herself fulltime to the creation and marketing of her own digitized designs and which, in fact, she had already been selling successfully on CD to an eager and expanding clientele. |
